The Volunteer Liaison (VL) for CorpsAfrica/Uganda is responsible for managing a select group of Volunteers and supporting them throughout their CorpsAfrica service cycle. This support includes both emotional guidance and technical assistance in facilitating community-led projects and initiatives. The Volunteer Liaison should be based close to the Volunteers’ deployment areas to ensure timely support and regular visits to host communities. Volunteer Liaison serve as the primary bridge between the CorpsAfrica/Uganda and the Volunteer and including the community of which they serve. The Volunteer Liaison role combines high-level administrative and technical oversight with hands-on, field-based mentorship. The VL fosters a culture of innovation through Human-Centered Design (HCD) while ensuring that all logistical, compliance, and reporting requirements are executed with accuracy and professionalism.
CorpsAfrica/Uganda is looking for an experienced trainer to lead the CorpsAfrica training program in Uganda, which includes four major trainings throughout the course of the year: Pre-Service Training, In-Service Training #1, In-Service Training #2, and Close of Service Conference. The Training Officer is responsible for providing all of the logistical and administrative support needed for each of these training sessions. The Training Officer is also responsible for leading and facilitating the human-centered design (HCD) and asset-based community development (ABCD) training, as well as other components of the overall training program. She/He must possess a demonstrated passion for and commitment to youth leadership, participatory community development, and training. The Training Officer reports to the Country Director/Uganda. This is a full-time position based in Uganda.
The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer is responsible for supporting CorpsAfrica/Uganda in the process of assessing the organization's impact and sustainability. This includes carrying out all data collection from Volunteers and compiling and reporting this data, driving the creation of Volunteer and community centered solutions for a variety of projects.
