Requirements

  • Expertise in piston engine design, combustion cycles, fuel systems, propeller theory, and engine troubleshooting
  • Practical experience in piston aircraft maintenance or general aviation operations is desirable
  • Relevant airframe and powerplant (A&P) certification is an advantage
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Ability to deliver effective and engaging instruction to university-level students

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in Piston Engines and Propellers to aviation engineering and maintenance students
  • Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments aligned with industry and regulatory standards
  • Conduct lectures, practical sessions, workshop exercises, and examinations
  • Provide academic mentorship and guidance to students
  • Contribute to curriculum review and improvement
  • Collaborate with full-time faculty on course planning
  • Maintain current knowledge of piston engine and propeller technology developments
  • Report on student performance and academic progress as required
