Job Description
Jubilee Insurance is the largest Composite insurer in East Africa, handling Life, Pensions, General and Medical Insurance, with over 450,000 clients. We currently have an exciting career opportunity for the role of Chief Agency Officer at Jubilee Life Insurance, Uganda. The position holder will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
Role Purpose:
The role holder will supervise and coordinate all aspects of the Agency workstream. The role holder will develop strategies and lead the initiative to further grow agency productivity, headcount, training, recruitment and culture. The role holder will work within the Senior Leadership Team on how to further expand the organisation's market share in Uganda. The role holder will be required to have expertise within core areas such as strategic planning, product management, leadership development and distribution and will be a key driver in implementing strategy plans to maximise channel's productivity.

Requirements
- Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Finance or any other related course
- Professional Qualifications: CFA or equivalent is an added advantage
- Relevant Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years' experience in Sales/Agency/Distribution development
- Demonstrated leadership capacity in sales force management, business process improvement and operational management
- Strong understanding of life insurance products, distribution channels and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities
- Strategy:
- Promote the use of industry leading trends and technologies
- Operational:
- Manage sales and distribution activities that drive business growth, performance, talent and culture
- Recruit, train, motivate and coach agency staff through effective leadership
- Analyse and review sales/business results through data and metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure effective management of approved resources for the year
- Ensure compliance with industry's regulatory requirements, particularly Insurance Regulatory Authority guidelines
- Leadership and People:
- Foster transformational leadership to motivate and sustain the performance of all stakeholders
- Establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the agency's operational and sales goals, collaborating with other divisions and departments
- Ensure that departmental decisions, project plans, and budgets for staffing, development, and team execution are aligned
- Ensure all department strategies are aligned to the Board approved budgets, ensuring optimal and efficient use of resources within the Company
- Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing department-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual sales and operations planning
- Foster a leadership culture that promotes ethical practices and good corporate citizenship while maintaining a high-performance culture
- Demonstrate sound leadership capacity in areas of sales force management, business process improvement and operational management
