Requirements
- Relevant Post Graduate Degree; MBA or Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred
- Minimum 8 years experience in a similar environment, of which at least 5 years at management level
- Preferably in financial services; strong audit, risk management, regulatory and accounting skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong project management capability
Responsibilities
- Formulate strategy and delivery plans for the internal audit function ensuring integration with Group Internal Audit objectives
- Develop and oversee a risk-based internal audit plan across all business activities of the FirstRand Namibia Group
- Give evidence-based opinions on governance, risk management and internal controls across all business activities
- Prepare/review and own audit committee and governance packs, regulatory submissions, and represent GIA in governance committees
- Lead and develop the internal audit team, providing guidance, support and a unified sense of purpose
- Perform audit responsibilities with transparency, due professional care and the highest ethical standards
