The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) is one of Africa's most significant energy infrastructure projects, spanning approximately 1,443 km from Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani peninsula near Tanga port in Tanzania. EACOP is a joint venture between TotalEnergies, Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC), Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC), and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). The project is committed to sustainable development, local content, and creating long-term value for host communities in Uganda and Tanzania.

Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-year university student pursuing an LLB or Master's degree in Law
- Strong academic standing (Potential Upper Second Class or equivalent)
- Available for a full-time 13-week commitment starting July 2026
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and written communication

Responsibilities
- Support the Legal & Compliance team with contract review and legal research
- Assist in preparing legal documents, briefs, and correspondence
- Help monitor regulatory compliance requirements across project operations
- Participate in legal risk assessments and due diligence activities
- Support the team in maintaining a legal document management system
- Assist with research on applicable laws, regulations, and international standards
- Help draft summaries and memos on legal and compliance matters
