Operations & Investigation
Officer based in
Chibombo,
Zambia.
This is a one-year renewable contract role within the
Credit team, responsible for safeguarding the integrity of
Apollo's loan programs by investigating fraudulent activities among staff, customers, and all parties transacting with
Apollo
Agritech.
The officer will also support the loan recovery process from fraudulent customers, working closely with local law enforcement and legal officials.

Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; preference for Criminology or Forensic Investigations
- Understanding of the Zambia Criminal Procedure (investigations, arrests, and prosecution process)
- Proficiency in conducting investigations and compiling detailed reports
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Proficiency in spoken vernacular languages is an added advantage
- Self-motivated and capable of working remotely with minimal supervision
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and spreadsheet software
- Access to a stable internet connection
- High integrity and excellent customer service skills
- Flexible to wide travel across Zambia based on operational demands
- Must possess a valid Police Clearance Certificate
Responsibilities
- Compile comprehensive investigation reports with findings and recommendations to support business decision-making
- Book verified fraud cases at relevant police stations and obtain OB numbers and investigation officer details
- Monitor and follow up on farmers flagged for suspicious behaviour through field verification
- Maintain regular follow-ups on cases reported to the police and provide status updates
- Work closely with the Fraud Call Centre team and respond to field support requests
- Mobilise witnesses for court appearances and record complainant and witness statements
- Provide fraud awareness training to Field Sales Agents, staff, and farmers
- Sensitise farmers on fraud risks and consequences
- Gather relevant information on reported fraud cases including identifying perpetrators, witnesses, evidence, and modus operandi
- Support the investigation and prosecution process by coordinating with local administration and criminal justice officials
- Work with a leading agri-fintech platform backed by global investors including Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and SoftBank Vision Fund
