Requirements

• A little about you:
• Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. An advanced degree in a related area is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive corporate treasury experience, with a focus on ALM, capital management, and financial risk.
• Experience with crypto or wallet operations at a crypto or fintech company.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, including interest rate, currency, and derivatives markets.
• Excellent analytical and modeling skills.
• Ability to interact, influence, and build relationships at all levels of seniority and across all functions within an organization.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• The role in a nutshell:
• As the Head of ALM, you will be a senior strategic leader responsible for the comprehensive management and optimization of the company's entire balance sheet to support long-term financial health and strategic decision-making. You will establish and lead the Asset Liability Management framework, providing direct oversight to the Associate Director of Treasury Risk in their first-line-of-defense capacity. Your role is pivotal in managing capital, funding, investments, and financial risks to ensure the company's stability and enable its growth.
• Your mission will be:
• Risk Framework & Oversight: Design, implement, and lead a comprehensive ALM framework. Provide direct oversight of the first-line-of-defense treasury risk function, ensuring robust monitoring and management of Market Risk (including interest rate risk), Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, and Operational Risk across all treasury activities.
• Strategic Capital Management: Drive capital planning to identify and manage capital excess or shortfalls. Oversee risk-based capital allocation for new initiatives and manage the balance sheet in accordance with regulatory capital requirements.
• Balance Sheet Optimization: Lead the ongoing assessment and optimization of the balance sheet structure across the business, analyzing assets and liabilities to enhance performance and mitigate risk. Conduct balance sheet-wide stress testing to ensure resilience.
• Funding & Liquidity Strategy: Develop and execute the company's long-term funding strategy to ensure stability and efficiency. Oversee the liquidity management framework, including contingency funding plans, to ensure the company can meet all obligations.
• Investment & Hedging Strategy: Manage the company's excess working capital through effective investment portfolio management. Design and oversee the management of hedge portfolios to mitigate financial risks, including currency and interest rate exposures.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present strategic reports on the company's ALM position, capital adequacy, risk exposures, and portfolio performance to senior management and the board of directors.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of ALM and risk professionals to support the company's strategic financial objectives.
