Job Description

Jubilee Insurance Uganda (Jubilee Health Insurance and Jubilee Life Insurance) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Jubilee Holdings Ltd, a leading multinational insurance group in East Africa. The Human Resources Business Partner will provide HR Advisory and facilitate leadership for the assigned business units, ensuring appropriate interpretation and execution of the organization's people agenda. The role works closely with Business Heads to deliver the business strategy through effective people practices.

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • HR professional certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, or local equivalent) is an advantage
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HRBP or advisory role
  • Proven experience partnering with business leaders to implement people strategies
  • Strong knowledge of Ugandan labour law and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive HR decisions
  • Experience in talent management, performance management, and organisational development
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR Advisory services and strategic people guidance to assigned business units
  • Facilitate leadership development and support people managers in driving team effectiveness
  • Ensure appropriate interpretation and execution of the organization's people agenda across business units
  • Work closely with Business Heads to align HR strategies with business objectives and deliver the business strategy through effective people practices
  • Partner with line managers on talent acquisition, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Support performance management processes including goal-setting, appraisals, and performance improvement plans
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies
  • Coordinate learning and development programmes to build employee capabilities
  • Analyse HR metrics and generate insights to improve people practices
  • Support change management initiatives and organizational development programmes
  • Ensure accurate HR data management and reporting
