Wave is hiring a
Product
Manager to join its team.
Wave is the largest financial institution in

Wave lead cross-functional teams with full ownership of their product domain, define product goals and roadmaps, drive user research, and champion users across
Africa.
This fully remote role is open to candidates in
Ghana,
Kenya, UK,
Spain, USA, or
Canada, or
Wave's operating markets in
Africa.
Salary between $142,200 - $213,400 USD depending on level and location, plus generous equity.
Remote team members travel to operational markets at least once per quarter.
5+ years of experience in product management, ideally in high-ownership fast-paced environments like scale-ups or startups.
Proven success overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle including user research, design, implementation, and evaluation.

Requirements
- Fluent English.
- Bonus: conversational French, professional experience in consumer fintech, mobile money user in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Strong communication skills to inspire and lead by influence.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams with full ownership of product domain.
- Define product goals, metrics, and roadmaps based on user needs and mission impact.
- Drive user research with both in-person research in Africa and data-driven perspectives.
- Write clear, compelling design docs and facilitate async fast-moving decision-making.
- Over-communicate context, priorities, and decisions to ensure team alignment.
- Adjust priorities quickly based on feedback, experiments, or new learnings.
- Solve problems holistically through product features, ops tooling, or process changes.
- Champion users and hold the team accountable to meeting users where they are.
- Own a product or feature holistically including internal tooling.
- Directly manage a small product team in rapid iteration cycles.
