Yellow Card is Africa's largest and first licensed stablecoin on/off-ramp platform, operating in 20 African countries. The company is on a mission to build financial infrastructure for seamless cross-border commerce and financial inclusion across Africa and emerging markets. We are looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer who is technically strong and deeply thoughtful, to help build the B2B payments infrastructure powering stablecoin transactions across 20 African countries.

Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience as a Back-End Engineer (Senior-level / Tech Lead depth expected)
- Strong hands-on experience with Domain Driven Development
- Strong experience with Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS (or equivalent: Google Cloud/Azure)
- Proven experience building serverless & Kubernetes architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB)
- Experience designing and operating event-driven microservices
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, async workflows, and distributed systems
- Experience with testing strategies (unit, integration, contract tests)
- Highly experienced in designing monitoring & observability systems
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable back-end services supporting stablecoin payments across Africa
- Lead technical design and architecture for complex distributed systems
- Build and maintain serverless and Kubernetes-based microservices on AWS
- Design event-driven architectures and async workflows
- Develop RESTful APIs and ensure monitoring and observability across systems
- Write, test, and maintain code with unit, integration, and contract testing strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product and platform development
