Job Description

M-KOPA is looking for a Senior People Partner to join the Human Resources Department as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets. As one of our People Partners for Kenya — our oldest and largest market — you'll play a pivotal role in driving our people agenda and supporting the growth of our business while driving global people programming initiatives. You'll be a strategic advisor to Kenya's leadership team and a key contributor to M-KOPA's talent strategy across all markets. Requirements

  • Ability to balance long-term planning and hands-on execution with strong business acumen

Responsibilities

  • Serve as strategic advisor to Kenya's leadership team on all people matters
  • Lead talent reviews and performance calibrations with leaders, ensuring fair and effective talent management processes
  • Connect employees and managers with impactful learning and development opportunities including mentorship and coaching
  • Coach managers and employees on best practices, conflict resolution, and professional development
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives including surveys and follow-up actions
  • Manage complex organisational change initiatives from planning through execution and measurement
  • Support business transformations, restructuring, and strategic project implementations
  • Collaborate with global People team and local leadership on cross-functional initiatives
  • Cultivate a growth-oriented, high-performance culture through performance management and employee engagement initiatives
  • Address employee relations issues with professionalism ensuring consistent policy application and compliance with local labour practices
