Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in agribusiness program management, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
  • Extensive practical experience in agricultural production and management including sustainable and climate-smart practices
  • Deep understanding of agronomic principles, seed selection, fertilizer application, and irrigation management
  • Strong experience in MSME development including facilitating access to microfinance and credit guarantee schemes
  • Advanced university degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Economics, or a related field
  • Business or finance courses will be an added advantage
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic design, implementation, and monitoring of large-scale agribusiness and food system development programs
  • Mobilize, recruit, and conduct sensitization forums for target participants, partners, and value chain actors
  • Oversee the enrolment of targeted beneficiaries into Equity Bank and related financial products, e-commerce, and market linkage platforms
  • Deliver advanced training on financial education, agribusiness management, and good agricultural practices
  • Support farmers and other value chain actors to improve technical, financial, and entrepreneurial capacities
  • Facilitate access to Equity Bank's financial services, handholding beneficiaries to utilize banking products effectively
  • Organize and coordinate regular farmer group meetings, mentoring, and coaching sessions
  • Prepare comprehensive weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports for senior management
  • Collaborate with the monitoring and evaluation team to collect high-quality data and track program impact
  • Represent EGF in agriculture forums, engaging with staff, local partners, and stakeholders at branch and regional level
