Job Description
M-KOPA is looking for a Stock Controller to manage inventory, deliver exceptional customer service, and oversee shop operations at their depot and shop locations in Uganda. This role is at the frontline of M-KOPA's retail operations, ensuring smooth inventory flow and world-class customer experiences. You will manage daily stock operations that keep thousands of devices moving efficiently to field agents and customers, reporting to the Regional Retail Team Leader.

Requirements
- Entry-level position — no prior experience required
- Bachelor's degree or certificate in any field from a recognised university
- Multitasking abilities and strong organisational skills
- Collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Computer literacy and comfort with technology systems
- Customer service mindset with attention to detail
- Reliability and punctuality for early morning operations (available before 8:00 am)
- Ability to follow established procedures and policies
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily stock counts by scanning available IMEIs and sharing results with the audit team for reconciliation
- Allocate stock to M-KOPA DSRs each day and follow up via phone to retrieve allocated devices
- Ensure inventory is securely stored in appropriate lockers or store areas
- Receive stock from the main warehouse within expected timelines
- Return stock to the warehouse promptly when required
- Adhere to established stock management policies
- Assist customers with the upgrade process during shop visits
- Resolve customer inquiries in person and log them in the system
- Escalate concerns that cannot be resolved to the responsible team
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free shop environment
