Requirements

  • At least 5 years experience in a similar position at banks, telcos, international remittance companies, or fintechs
  • Fluent in English (French is a plus)
  • Work authorisation in Sierra Leone required; willingness to relocate to other regions for 2-3 month periods
  • Strong network in B2B sales or telecom operator space
  • Exceptional strategic thinking skills and proactive execution abilities
  • Creative approach to generating leads and identifying partnership opportunities
  • Comfortable giving presentations and preparing onboarding documents at a boardroom level
  • Enthusiastic about Wave's financial inclusion mission
  • Highly detail-oriented with demonstrated tenacity

Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive research and leverage networks to identify and acquire the best partners for Wave in Sierra Leone
  • Manage relationships with all external stakeholders and ensure Wave's service level agreements are met
  • Produce key business performance reports for Wave partners on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Develop and update presentations for partner meetings and internal playbooks
  • Ensure Wave Sierra Leone complies with all relevant government regulations and internal Wave standards
  • Hold departments and business unit heads accountable to Wave compliance standards
  • Do whatever it takes to help Wave scale in Sierra Leone across multiple disciplines
  • Build and strengthen partnerships between Wave and key entities including the Central Bank, banks, microfinances, telecom companies, international remittances, and local businesses
  • Facilitate communication between external partners and internal Wave teams including Product, Finance, Distribution, Compliance, and Legal
