Requirements
- At least 5 years experience in a similar position at banks, telcos, international remittance companies, or fintechs
- Fluent in English (French is a plus)
- Work authorisation in Sierra Leone required; willingness to relocate to other regions for 2-3 month periods
- Strong network in B2B sales or telecom operator space
- Exceptional strategic thinking skills and proactive execution abilities
- Creative approach to generating leads and identifying partnership opportunities
- Comfortable giving presentations and preparing onboarding documents at a boardroom level
- Enthusiastic about Wave's financial inclusion mission
- Highly detail-oriented with demonstrated tenacity
Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive research and leverage networks to identify and acquire the best partners for Wave in Sierra Leone
- Manage relationships with all external stakeholders and ensure Wave's service level agreements are met
- Produce key business performance reports for Wave partners on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Develop and update presentations for partner meetings and internal playbooks
- Ensure Wave Sierra Leone complies with all relevant government regulations and internal Wave standards
- Hold departments and business unit heads accountable to Wave compliance standards
- Do whatever it takes to help Wave scale in Sierra Leone across multiple disciplines
- Build and strengthen partnerships between Wave and key entities including the Central Bank, banks, microfinances, telecom companies, international remittances, and local businesses
- Facilitate communication between external partners and internal Wave teams including Product, Finance, Distribution, Compliance, and Legal
