Requirements

  • Skill Requirements - Essential:
  • Ability to translate strategy into practical systems, operating rhythms, and measurable results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong facilitation and community-facing presence.
  • High level of ownership, organisation, and comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates must be based in Nairobi or willing to relocate to Nairobi.
  • This is an in-person role, and the successful candidate will be expected to work onsite as part of the Nairobi team.
  • Legal authorisation to work in Kenya.
  • Skill Requirements - Preferable:
  • Experience launching or rebuilding community models in new or emerging markets.
  • Experience supporting business or growth goals through community-led acquisition and referral strategies.
  • Exposure to content, storytelling, or brand advocacy systems within a community function.
  • Comfort working across both virtual and in-person engagement environments.

Responsibilities

  • Community Strategy and Market Activation:
  • Continuously refine community programming and structures to improve relevance, consistency, and impact.
  • Ambassador Programme Design and Activation:
  • Lead the recruitment, activation, and ongoing management of community ambassadors in Kenya.
  • Strengthen the quality and consistency of ambassador-led programming over time.
  • Community Engagement, Participation, and Retention:
  • Create strong operating mechanisms for in-person and virtual community touchpoints that can scale effectively.
  • Community-Led Recruitment and Growth Contribution:
  • Track and report on the community's contribution to lead generation, conversion, and enrollment performance.
  • Impact Storytelling and Brand Advocacy:
  • Build systems to identify, capture, and elevate powerful stories of learner, alumni, and community impact in Kenya.
  • Ensure storytelling efforts are intentional, measurable, and aligned with business and brand priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Community Operations:
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the Kenya team.
  • Monitoring, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement:
  • Translate community performance insights into clear recommendations and action plans.
  • Drive ongoing improvements that make the community more effective, scalable, and measurable over time.
