Job Description

Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics from a recognised institution.
- Professional qualification in CFA, CPB, CPA or equivalent (added advantage).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in credit analysis and relationship management.
- Consistent knowledge of risk management, product development, credit and lending, financial analysis, trade finance, leasing, structured finance, legal requirements, policies and procedures.
- Customer service skills and people management skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Dynamic, proactive and decisive with ability to drive change.
Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous recommendations on new product development, credit policies, manual and procedural standards review, and staff development.
- Ensure that branches follow the bank's credit policy and manual, BRB guidelines and best practice in appraisal, recommendations and conduct of credit facilities.
- Ensure customer complaints on credit matters are effectively addressed.
- Ensure individual and end-to-end TAT, Vintage, NPL and migration of credit facilities are within the bank's targets through high-standard analysis for informed decisions.
- Prepare the MPR return by the 10th of every month and any other reports assigned by the line manager.
- Ensure there are no multiple customer profiles and initiate appropriate disciplinary action where encountered.
- Maintain effective communication within the unit in dealing with branches, colleagues and customers.
- Correct irregularities highlighted in credit audits to ensure 100% closure.
- Maintain effective monitoring mechanisms on the entire bank portfolio performance with a view to making appropriate recommendations on target markets.
