Requirements
- Bachelor degree from a reputable institution; post-graduate training in financial services is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years of SME credit experience; international credit experience is an added advantage
- Strong financial, accounting, and credit analysis skills
- Strong understanding of overall banking operations, credit policies, processes, and procedures
- Experience in engaging senior executives in facilitating decision-making and reporting
- Willingness to travel to regions to network with branches
- Ability to collaborate with geographically diverse and remote teams
- Strong negotiation and deal structuring skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build business partnerships with teams across locations
- Ability to coach, mentor, and transfer skills to other staff members
Responsibilities
- Present credit proposals to credit committees when called upon
- Train other staff members and provide guidance and support when necessary
- Participate in the department team building activities
- Analyze domestic and foreign financial documents, complete due diligence activities, negotiate loan structures, identify and mitigate risks, and prepare credit proposals with recommended risk ratings and exposure strategies
- Manage individual pipeline from lead sourcing to booking, partnering with other lines of business to support timely delivery of the entire credit process
- Prepare interim and annual reviews and test covenants for large exposure accounts and communicate material changes to the relevant credit committees
