Job Description
The Finance Business Partner is responsible for ensuring alignment between the Business Segment and Finance Operations to ensure that specific financial expectations of the business segment and its employees are appropriately managed. The Business Partner supports the Business Segment Head with respect to Finance Management.

This position involves leading creation of sub divisional strategy in line with overarching divisional goals, ensuring effective implementation of strategy, sourcing and managing talent, providing staff leadership and management, participating in operational meetings, managing escalations, reviewing performance metrics, managing budgets, and providing financial decision support to the business segments.

Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent qualification
- Post Graduate degree in Finance and/or relevant professional qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant) is preferred

Responsibilities
- Strategy Implementation:
- Lead creation of sub divisional strategy in line with overarching divisional goals
- Ensure effective implementation of sub divisional strategy by providing direction, structure, business plans and support
- Staff Leadership and Management:
- Source, induct, and manage talent in accordance with legislative guidelines
- Provide definition of roles, responsibilities, individual goals and performance objectives
- Set KPIs and provide regular performance feedback through performance review programs
- Develop and implement training plans to build and develop skills within the team
- Operational Delivery:
- Act as the finance resource dedicated to a particular Business segment
- Provide support on planning, budgeting and forecasting process for the Business segment
- Guide and advise internal clients on financial implications of actions and decisions
- Provide decision support to Business segments from a finance perspective
- Identify and mitigate risks to protect MTN business from potential losses
- Ensure compliance to external regulatory requirements
- Communication and Liaison:
- Liaise with divisional heads and managers to understand specific requirements
- Support business as the first point of contact for Finance operational activities
- Assist Business segment head in budget estimations and monitoring
- Prepare and update Line and Business heads with key analytics for decision making
- Managerial Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor direct reports to ensure staff motivation is high
- Ensure skill transfer for staff development and business continuity
- Guide and direct vendors and third parties in achieving MTN objectives
- Manage team including recruitment, onboarding, and attrition
