The Financial Accountant – Accounts Payable owns the full AP cycle across both Ugandan entities (MKUG and MUGS), working directly with the Senior Financial Controller.

Requirements
- Completed or in-progress CPA qualification
- Degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- Proven working knowledge of ERP systems
- Experience with three-way matching processes and AP internal controls
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proactive approach to sourcing information needed to complete work
Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle across both Uganda entities from invoice processing through payment execution
- Enforce three-way matching process and manage the invoice queue
- Execute all balance sheet reconciliations including trade payables, accruals, and prepayments
- Contribute AP and payment obligation inputs to the weekly Rolling Cash Forecast
- Reconcile bank accounts daily across both Uganda entities
- Flag liquidity concerns early enough for action
- Maintain audit-ready documentation with organised files and consistently applied controls
- Support month-end close processes
