Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Part-qualification or finalist status in CPA(U) or ACCA, actively progressing towards completion
- Demonstrable progressive accounting experience in a structured finance environment
- Solid working knowledge of Uganda statutory requirements including PAYE, NSSF, WHT, VAT, and EFRIS compliance
- Proven hands-on experience with an ERP system
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a meaningful advantage
- High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
Responsibilities
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations across assigned accounts, resolving aged items within agreed timelines
- Support month-end close, flagging risks and unresolved items early to the Senior Financial Controller
- Prepare monthly VAT, WHT, PAYE, and NSSF workings for both Uganda entities
- Maintain a live compliance calendar across both Uganda entities
- Support EFRIS compliance for applicable supplier transactions
- Respond to URA queries with complete, clearly labelled documentation
- Assist with statutory audit preparation and provide audit evidence as required
