The
Head of
Recovery is a strategic leadership role responsible for architecting and executing
Moniepoint’s debt recovery framework.
As a qualified legal professional, you will ensure minimal credit losses by optimizing the recovery unit’s efficiency through a blend of rigorous legal strategy and operational excellence.
In this capacity, you will develop and implement comprehensive recovery strategies, design the organizational structure of the recovery unit, and recruit high-caliber talent.
Your deep legal expertise in debt litigation and asset recovery will be vital in navigating complex delinquency cases.
You will leverage a data-driven approach to evaluate the efficacy of recovery tactics and personnel performance.

- Develop and execute recovery strategies to reduce non-performing loans and bad debt provisions
- Design the recovery organisation and supervise the hiring process for recovery talent
- Optimise the effectiveness of the recovery team by setting clear KPIs
- Provide continuous training to the recovery network in alignment with industry best practices
- Report on recovery performance and provide insights to senior management
- Collaborate with credit, legal, risk, and finance departments to align recovery efforts
- Develop and execute recovery strategies to reduce non-performing loans and bad debt provisions.
- Act as the primary legal strategist for the recovery department, ensuring all actions comply with financial regulations and debt collection laws.
- Manage high-level engagements with external stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and external counsel, to expedite the resolution of non-performing loans (NPLs).
- Design the recovery organisation and supervise the hiring process for recovery talent
- Optimise the effectiveness of the recovery team by setting clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Report on recovery performance and provide insights to senior management.
- Act as primary legal strategist for the recovery department, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and debt collection laws
