Job Description

The Head of Trade Control is responsible for leading and managing all trade-related activities across the relevant entities and platforms. This includes oversight of trade processing, information flow, and the management of vendors and service providers. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of trading activities, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the implementation of robust risk management and control practices.

Responsibilities

  • Type of Qualification: Graduate qualification in Finance, Business Science, or related field
  • CA(SA) would be beneficial.
  • CFA would be advantageous.
  • Experience Required
  • Minimum 6+ years relevant finance and operations experience within an investment bank/asset manager.
  • Experience in an operational environment is preferred.
  • Oversee trade lifecycle management, ensuring accurate and timely trade capture, confirmation, settlement processes, trade maintenance, and documentation.
  • Manage and reconcile system interfaces where transactions are recorded throughout the trade process.
  • Provide first-line transactional support for managed entities, ensuring agreed service levels are maintained and clearly communicated from an operational perspective.
  • Act as the primary contact point for transactional service delivery matters and manage service delivery expectations with stakeholders.
  • Monitor operational performance against expectations and provide regular performance updates to customers and senior stakeholders.
