Job Description
KCB Bank Kenya is seeking a SAHL Banking Cluster Manager to drive performance, growth, and operational excellence of Sahl (Islamic) banking across a defined cluster of branches covering the Great Rift, Central, Eastern, and Nyanza regions. This role is responsible for leading business development, ensuring Shariah compliance, developing branch staff capacity, and managing cluster-level performance reporting for KCB's Islamic banking division.
Sahl Banking Business Strategy and Development: Work with assigned cluster of branches to identify and pursue business development opportunities in line with Islamic banking principles and market potential.
Shariah Compliance and Governance: Work closely with branch teams and Shariah Compliance to maintain adherence to approved Sahl product structures.
Training, Awareness and Staff Development: Build capacity and awareness of Islamic banking principles, processes, and product knowledge among branch staff.
Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination: Collaborate with Operations, IT, Risk, and Customer Experience teams to ensure seamless product support and issue resolution.
Reporting and Performance Tracking: Prepare and present regular cluster performance reports to management. Track KPIs and implement corrective measures to meet business targets.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in Islamic banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of Shariah-compliant banking principles and products.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate branch teams.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in business development and customer relationship management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze product performance metrics across branches and recommend improvement actions.
- Partner with Business Functions within the assigned cluster to provide excellent customer relationship management.
- Conduct training and refresher sessions to strengthen staff competence in offering Sahl products and services.
- Promote a culture of ethical and Shariah-compliant banking across the cluster.
- Support internal reviews and audits by providing operational and compliance information as required.
- Support marketing and community outreach programs to promote Sahl banking awareness and growth.
