M-KOPA is hiring a Senior Analytics Manager – Credit for a team based in Ghana. Your credit models will unlock financial inclusion for millions across Africa. Through predictive analytics, experiments, and strategic insights, you'll give people their first real opportunity to build financial security. You'll shape how M-KOPA responsibly serves millions of customers and translate complex credit data into executive insights that define risk appetite and drive growth in Ghana. 6+ years in digital consumer credit or asset-backed fintech lending (PAYGo, BNPL, mobile lending) with direct ownership of portfolio analytics and risk strategy

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on expertise using SQL and Python or R to analyse large transactional datasets
  • Ability to build predictive loss and cash-flow models and support IFRS 9 provisioning
  • Experience designing and running experiments to improve credit outcomes
  • Strategic influence skills with ability to present complex analytics to senior leadership
  • Experience in fast-scaling fintech environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build predictive credit models and run causal analyses to shape credit strategy using rich transactional data
  • Analyse risk concentration and loss drivers to directly inform risk appetite and growth decisions
  • Design and interpret experiments to test credit strategies and optimise portfolio performance
  • Monitor portfolio performance and credit quality across M-KOPA's consumer finance products in Ghana
  • Translate complex credit data into executive decision support on credit policy, terms, pricing, and new product proposals for senior leadership
  • Partner with Product, Data Science, Finance, and Operations to embed analytics into credit decisioning and accelerate launches
