Job Description

KCB Group (BPR Bank Rwanda) is seeking a Senior Manager for Credit Administration, Monitoring and Reporting. This multifaceted role is crucial for maintaining the health of the Bank's loan portfolio with respect to compliance with regulatory requirements, developing and implementing credit monitoring frameworks, and ensuring accurate credit reporting. The role oversees the Credit Administration Unit and leads the credit monitoring, reporting, and administration team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
  • At least 4 years of experience in banking operations.
  • At least 3 years of experience in credit monitoring.
  • At least 3 years of experience in credit reporting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in enforcement of credit regulations and policies.
  • At least 3 years of stakeholder engagement experience (internal and external).
  • At least 2 years of experience in credit administration.
  • At least 2 years of team supervision experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the unit to generate, review, and maintain loan credit reports for presentation to BPR Management and KCB Group in accordance with the credit policy and BNR regulations.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly Board Credit Committee (BCC) deck presenting credit portfolio information, trends analysis, and confirmation of adherence to credit policies.
  • Ensure review of credit portfolio trends are carried out, identifying potential issues and recommending corrective and proactive actions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate computation of IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) according to the standards and ensure model parameters are updated in-house as per BNR's recommendation.
  • Oversee the Credit Administration Unit for assessment of credit applications for subsequent disbursements on Mortgage loans, Invoice Discount Facilities, LPO advances, and Bank Guarantees.
  • Ensure the Credit Administration Unit monitors the Core Banking System to identify loan related issues and escalate appropriately to IT and Credit Operations.
  • Proactively monitor the Credit filing team to ensure credit files and documents are well organized.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders ensuring compliance with service standards as per SLA terms to support business growth.
  • Facilitate internal, external, and central bank audits and ensure timely closure of all credit risk, compliance, and audit reviews.
  • Support review of credit policies and processes governing lending in the Bank.
  • Lead, coach, and coordinate team tasks related to credit monitoring, reporting, and administration.
  • Ensure minimal loan migration through continuous monitoring via early alerts reports.
  • Communicate with Bank Management on credit monitoring, reporting, and administration activities and recommend strategies for managing credit risk.
