KCB Group is seeking a Technology Vendor Manager to join our team in Kenya. This role is responsible for overseeing the strategic management of technology vendors and optimizing their performance to align with the bank's goals. The primary purpose is to develop and execute a comprehensive technology vendor management strategy that enhances efficiency, reduces costs, mitigates risks, and ensures the delivery of high quality products and services from technology vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or Business related field (Required)
  • ITIL Foundation or Project Management certification (Required)
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent (Added Advantage)
  • Certified Contract Manager (CCM) or equivalent (Added Advantage)
  • MBA or MSc (Added Advantage)
  • 4 years minimum total experience
  • 3 years experience in IT service delivery, IT contract management, or general vendor management
  • 2 years experience with negotiating and managing contract life cycles
  • 2 years experience in managing large complex contracts in IT categories
  • 2 years experience working with key departments and knowledge of procurement practices
  • Project Management experience (Desirable)
  • People Management experience (1 year minimum)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology vendor management strategy to select, engage, and oversee external technology providers
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Management (SCM) and business owners to evaluate all contractual documentation including pricing models, compliance requirements, and exit strategies
  • Coordinate with system and business owners to ensure sufficient budgeting for all vendor contracts
  • Monitor and report on the performance of Technology vendors to ensure delivery is in line with contractual obligations
  • Collaborate with SCM and Software Asset Management (SAM) to assess and mitigate Technology vendor risks
  • Build long term technology vendor relationships through regular service review meetings
  • Follow through implementation of service improvement plans documented in the CSI register
  • Act as a central point of contact and escalation for IT vendor and stakeholder issues
  • Ensure all IT Services and products are supported by valid contracts
  • Liaise with SCM and legal partners to review, report on and revise contractual agreements
