Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Geology, Industrial Engineering or related technical field
- Post-graduate qualification / Master's degree (MBA, MSc) preferred; professional registration advantageous
- 12+ years relevant experience, including 5+ years in Senior Management/Leadership
- Extensive project delivery and PMO experience in a mining context
- Strong strategic planning, mine planning, corporate strategy formulation and commercial agility skills
Responsibilities
- Lead development, integration and execution of Sasol's Mining Strategy across horizons (H1–H3), ensuring cost, risk, sustainability and growth outcomes
- Build a dynamic, data-led portfolio view and recommend portfolio moves (scale-up, fix/exit, partnerships, selective M&A) with quantified value cases
- Lead the Mining PMO with robust programme and project lifecycle standards including business cases, benefits tracking, risk, schedule and cost control
- Drive integrated capital planning and prioritisation aligned to strategic outcomes and operating plans
- Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Technical/Engineering, Finance, Legal and Corporate Affairs
- Embed robust governance aligned to Sasol frameworks and mining regulatory expectations
- Build a high-calibre strategy and PMO team; develop future leaders and foster an inclusive performance culture
