Job Description

TotalEnergies EP Uganda is looking for a motivated Graduate Trainee in Biodiversity to support its environmental stewardship and sustainability commitments across its Uganda operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Zoology, Biology, Wildlife Management, or related discipline
  • Graduated within the last 2 years (class of 2024 or 2025)
  • Passion for environmental conservation and biodiversity
  • Field experience in biological surveys or ecological monitoring is an advantage
  • Strong data collection and analytical skills
  • Good report writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work in remote field locations
  • Ugandan national or permanent resident

Responsibilities

  • Assist in biodiversity monitoring programmes across operational areas
  • Support environmental impact assessments and biodiversity surveys
  • Participate in habitat monitoring and wildlife observation activities
  • Contribute to the preparation of biodiversity management plans and reports
  • Support stakeholder engagement on environmental and biodiversity matters
  • Collect, record, and analyse field data on flora, fauna, and ecosystems
  • Support compliance monitoring with environmental regulations and commitments
