Requirements

  • Bachelor of Accounting
  • 3 to 5 years in a similar environment of which 1 to 2 years ideally at a junior specialist level
  • Banking or financial industry experience is an added advantage
  • Completed articles signed off by the Public Accountants' and Auditors' Board is an added advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful management reporting and analysis to support effective business decision-making on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Engage closely with business units to understand financial performance, identify trends, and continuously improve reporting processes
  • Assist business units in strategy development, financial reporting, tax, and costing
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual divisional income statements, balance sheets, and annual budgets
  • Monitor all balance sheet accounts and prepare monthly suspense account summaries for management reporting
  • Compile and manage budgets and forecasts per business unit and support budget presentations to internal stakeholders
  • Interpret financial data against budgets and forecasts to provide clear, actionable insights
  • Manage the fixed asset lifecycle and oversee key operational renewals efficiently
  • Build and maintain strong professional working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments and industry best practices
