Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Telecom Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or IT
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in a busy heterogeneous IT environment of which 3 years should be in a GSM environment
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN principles, Linux, databases, IoT, NFV and SDN
- Proficiency in Big Data, Microservices, RESTful Open APIs, Android, iOS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, NoSQL, XML, JSON, YAML, Perl/Python, Bash scripting, and Java
- Machine learning and AI skills for predictive and cognitive maintenance
- Knowledge of visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database management systems including MySQL, Oracle, Sybase, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end proactive monitoring of Operations Support Systems and maintenance, including managing level two and three incident and problem management
- Ensure all faults reported are resolved within agreed timelines with tickets well documented and updated
- Implement proactive measures to ensure system uptime of all implemented systems
- Work with popular database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL databases
- Support heterogeneous environments including Windows servers, RHEL, VMware, and FusionSphere
- Ensure vulnerabilities identified within OSS systems are fixed within SLA
- Maintain security baseline standards across OSS systems including user management policy controls
- Implement and monitor capacity on systems, probes, SoC, and CEM systems
- Conduct regular vendor support review meetings and audit OSS systems
- Develop and execute automation scripts and maintenance jobs
- Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices
- Develop and implement data pipelines that extract, transform, and load data to inform strategic decisions
- Automate OSS FCAPS workflows to enhance real-time service monitoring and issue resolution
