TotalEnergies EP Uganda is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Head of Reservoir Monitoring to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all reservoir monitoring activities across our Uganda upstream operations. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Reservoir Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in reservoir engineering and monitoring
  • Strong expertise in pressure transient analysis, material balance, and reservoir simulation
  • Experience with Cap Rock integrity assessment and monitoring
  • Familiarity with tracer test design and interpretation
  • Proficiency in reservoir engineering software (Eclipse, Petrel, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in East African oil and gas sector is an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the reservoir monitoring team, providing technical guidance and mentorship
  • Oversee and optimise reservoir engineering techniques including pressure transient analysis and material balance
  • Ensure Cap Rock integrity monitoring and evaluation across all fields
  • Design and execute tracer campaigns to monitor fluid movement and reservoir connectivity
  • Develop and maintain reservoir surveillance plans aligned with field development objectives
  • Coordinate with production engineering and geoscience teams on integrated reservoir management
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and partners
  • Monitor well performance and recommend production optimisation strategies
  • Lead budget planning and resource allocation for reservoir monitoring activities
