Requirements

  • Grade 12 / N3 with Mathematics, Physical Science and English (NQF Level 4)
  • 1+ year relevant experience in chemical plant operations
  • Strong production resource and risk management skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct maintenance and repair services for a specific process within a production line
  • Manage control panel operations and perform troubleshooting to ensure plant stability
  • Participate in shift handover meetings and risk assessments per legislation and company requirements
  • Maintain good housekeeping and apply safety standards in all working environments
  • Conduct on-the-job coaching of learners and give SME presentations on plant equipment
  • Conduct IMS inspections and play appropriate role during emergency situations
  • Provide feedback to other disciplines on daily issues and contribute to toolbox talks
