Requirements

  • Grade 12 with pure Mathematics, Science and English, or Full N3 equivalent
  • CHIETA NQF Level 2 Occupational Qualification (Mechanical)
  • 1–2+ years relevant experience
  • Driver's license
  • Strong troubleshooting, planning and engineering implementation skills

Responsibilities

  • Support maintenance of mechanical/electro-mechanical systems and equipment
  • Operate mechanical/electro-mechanical devices and accurately collect field data to ensure optimum productivity
  • Identify faults using applicable methods to ensure equipment availability
  • Perform plant inspections and repairs to ensure equipment reliability
  • Participate in root cause analyses, PDAs and risk assessments
  • Conduct IMS inspections and ensure correct history feedback is captured for upgrades
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and attend toolbox talks
