The
Manager: Geology is responsible for designing, defining, and managing dependable systems of work that reliably deliver the expected ore grade and tonnage from mine to mill by integrating technical studies, programs, and analysis of production geology with the business objectives and processes of mine planning, mining production, and the process plant.

Requirements
- MSc or BSc (Hons) in Geology or Earth Sciences
- Ability to obtain Minerals Commission competency certificate
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum 10 years' experience in mining geology and exploration
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Demonstrated experience in geological risk analysis
- Strong strategic thinking capability
- Sound financial and commercial acumen
- Ability to make effective decisions under uncertainty
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills
Responsibilities
- Establish the necessary production geology processes and practices
- Develop an effective ore accounting and production reconciliation process including Grade Control processes
- Develop ore blending plans in collaboration with Mining and processing teams
- Develop, communicate and deliver a rolling 18-month plan by quarter for required Production Geology services and outputs
- Control ore feed according to requirements
- Ensure Production Geology techniques and tools are applied to the required standard
- Lead and develop a high-performing geology team
- Mentor senior geologists and technical specialists
- Drive succession planning and technical capability building
- Foster a culture where AGA values are demonstrated
- Develop and deliver the annual Production Geology cost centre budget to achieve required targets
- Ensure all Mine Geology activities are delivered in accordance with Company values, policies, standards, laws, regulations, and local cultural norms
