AngloGold Ashanti (Iduapriem) Limited, a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti Limited, operates the combined Teberebie and Iduapriem open-pit gold mines at Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana, with a workforce of over 1,400 including contractors.
The company is inviting applications for a Survey Assistant in the Mining department at Iduapriem Gold Mine, Tarkwa. The objective of the role is to assist mine surveyors and leading hands in carrying out survey assigned tasks.

Requirements
- Education and Qualification:
- Diploma or Certificate in Surveying or related discipline from a recognized institution
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years working experience in mine survey or similar environment
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in the use of survey equipment mainly total station and GPS
- Good knowledge in UAV, Mining Surveying Processes and Practices
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Software (Excel and Access) and data management
- High level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills
- Possess a valid driver's license and proficiency in driving light vehicle
Responsibilities
- Assist to carry out daily pit face pick-ups and stake TBMs on all mining faces
- Assist staking out pit designs and ore mark outs as required
- Assist setting out and picking up points for Geology exploration and RC grade control drilling
- Assist to carry out stockpile surveys as and when required
- Assist to carry out farm surveys and line cutting projects
- Assist setting out ground control points for drone flights
