Requirements

  • Matric/N3 with Mathematics, English and Physical Science
  • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • 1+ year relevant experience
  • Strong troubleshooting, planning and engineering implementation skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and balance stakeholder needs

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain mechanical/electro-mechanical systems and assist with installation
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and blackouts and repair machinery to ensure strong infrastructure
  • Ensure work standards are met according to quality, quantity and due dates
  • Optimize and control resources effectively while maintaining cost awareness
  • Apply safety in all practices, specifically project planning and execution
  • Develop suitable technical proposals based on practical and theoretical knowledge
  • Continuously improve work methods and share ideas to optimise equipment, systems and processes
