Job Description

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field from a recognized university
• Minimum 6 years of experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role with a proven track record
• Experience in lending and credit management is required
• Experience in a microfinance institution (MFI) or financial institution is essential
• Master's in Business or a related field is preferred
• Advanced training in Business Management is an advantage
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent relationship management and business development capabilities
• Knowledge of AML, KYC, and banking compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement branch business initiatives and turnaround strategies aligned with Faulu's business strategy
• Lead business growth and development of the branch, agencies, and alternative service outlets
• Drive sales of all products and services at branch level through leadership and motivation of the sales team
• Monitor changing customer needs and competitor activity to keep the bank competitive
• Manage and grow the branch's business portfolio (assets and liabilities) to achieve income targets
• Drive customer growth and retention through quality client recruitment, onboarding, and cross-selling
• Develop competitive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility in the marketplace
• Ensure branch compliance with all regulatory, credit, and operational policies
• Mentor and develop branch staff to improve performance and deliver superior results
