Senior Specialist, Financial Model Development

Lead a team of financial modelling / planning specialists across the group's Africa Regions and Offshore (AR&O) portfolio  to develop fit for purpose financial planning models, apply and enhance specialist techniques and mathematical / statistical models such as time series forecasting and multivariate statistics, evaluate past and current financial performance, forecast trends, identify opportunities, anticipate risks and enable effective decision-making for Standard Bank Group. Optimise forecasting / scenario analysis capabilities and collaborate with Finance technology to define required technical architecture  for AR&O. More than 10 years experience with enterprise wide or business unit level financial planning with focus on sensitivities of financial outcome to alternative macro- economic and financial scenarios. Practical experience in Treasury Capital Management would be essential in order to assess impact of perform scenario analysis and planning on capital and liquidity, and to ensure alignment between risk appetite and strategic plans. Practical experience in enterprise wide or business unit specific risk model development. 3-4 years: Coding experience in Python, DAX or similar required.
