The role provides strategic guidance and functional oversight for all security perfection activities, driving efficiency, risk mitigation, and portfolio integrity, reporting directly to the Head of Credit Administration. Security Perfection Management: Oversee the drafting, review, execution, and perfection of all security documentation, including charges, mortgages, debentures, guarantees, and other collateral instruments. Compliance and Risk Governance: Ensure all security documentation is legally enforceable and compliant with applicable laws, including the Land Act, Companies Act, and other relevant statutes. Proactively identify, assess and manage legal and operational risks arising from security documentation and perfection processes. Confirm that all securities meet the Bank's credit policy and risk requirements prior to credit disbursement. Credit Structuring Advisory: Provide authoritative legal advisory support to business and credit teams on security structuring and documentation requirements. Monitoring, Controls, and Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of perfected and pending securities within the bank's systems. The Regional Credit Manager is saddled with the duty of managing a credit portfolio in an assigned geographic region. The Regional Credit Manager is expected to maintain a profitable loan portfolio and manage the field credit network in that region. The Regional Credit Manager is a data driven and strategic leader that leverages on data to effectively guide his team towards meeting business and financial objectives. You would also be directly involved in managing key accounts in the region to ensure they perform and to eliminate churn. The Regional Credit Manager must be an expert in credit risk, credit monitoring and credit analysis and should be able to distill this information into the field credit network under his/her management. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage) Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in credit risk management, lending operations, or related roles, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or regional leadership capacity. Strong understanding of credit risk frameworks, regulatory requirements (CBN guidelines, IFRS 9, etc.), and industry best practices. Senior Credit Underwriter will underwrite all SME, Mid-Corporate and Large Corporate lending applications that require manual underwriting within the Industry Sector.
